Thanks to a CPR class taken back in 1999, a man is alive today – but without Envoy’s Station Agent Jeremy Cochrane, things could have been very different.
While working in the Milwaukee Baggage Services office recently, Jeremy heard someone calling for help. Dialing 911 as he ran to assist, he arrived to find a man in distress, without any detectable pulse. Jeremy quickly began chest compressions and kept it up until assistance could arrive. Medics confirmed that had Jeremy not acted as quickly as he did, the man likely would not have survived.
By the time he was loaded on the ambulance, the man was awake and speaking – and able to attend his son’s graduation. Outstanding!
