Starting today, Envoy pilots have the ability to use their iPad-powered Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) to electronically sign flight releases.
“With Envoy issuing all pilots EFBs back in 2016, going paperless was the ultimate goal,” said Capt. Nick Kinner, who – along with multiple other Flight Operations employees – listened to pilot feedback and helped gather FAA approvals to make this happen. “Signing releases electronically not only saves paper, it speeds up the process and reduces the risk of paperwork delays, too. It’s been a long project for our Flight Operations Technical team and we’re and we’re glad to be able to roll this enhancement out to our pilots today.”
American Airlines pilots currently sign releases electronically. Envoy is the first wholly-owned AAG carrier to roll out this enhancement for our pilots.
