Last week, outstanding Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) students from the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) paid a visit to our maintenance hangar at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The STEM students had the opportunity to walk aboard our Embraer 175 jet, see a jet engine up close, and meet with some of the mechanics based in DFW.
The tour was just the beginning of the DISD STEM-liner, where the students will be chartered by Envoy to Houston to visit NASA’s training centers. All weekend long, the DISD students will learn more about space travel, engineering and participate in several activities expanding their knowledge of STEM.
Thank you to all the fantastic and bright students who toured our facilities – best of luck!
