Last month, the Envoy and American teams at Nashville (BNA) partnered with local charitable organizations to host a Cool To Fly American event to help families learn how their loved ones with disabilities might cope with the unique stresses of air travel.
“This was a great experience for everyone involved,” said Envoy BNA General Manager, Sylvester Holmes. “The families and team members all learned a lot about caring for customers on their journey. We’re proud to host events like these to support our local community.”
Cool to Fly American events help customers with disabilities practice and prepare for air travel, with TSA, airport and airline team members all volunteering their time to make it possible. Families board mock flights using real aircraft, agents and crewmembers, and the experience is designed to provide everyone with a positive, supportive and fun atmosphere to learn more about the air travel experience.
