Yajaira Rivera DeJesus has been a dedicated member of the Customer Services team at Envoy for over two years. Her commendable work has earned her the 2023 President’s Award.

What is your Envoy story?
I’ve been with Envoy for over two years. I started as a gate agent and shortly after, I became a lead agent, which I loved. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, so I decided to continue growing. A couple of months later, I applied for an MPR position and got it. Two months after that, I applied for the manager position, and I was successful. I’ve been a manager since April of this year. It’s been a journey, but I’m where I wanted to be, and it’s been really memorable for me.
What do you believe sets your approach to work apart from others?
My achievements at work have brought me to where I am now, and I am very thankful for my coworkers who have supported me along the way. I love going above and beyond to help everyone as much as I can. Whenever a coworker or customer needs something, I always try to assist as much as possible.
How do you stay motivated and maintain high standards in your work?
I stay motivated by helping others, which helps me learn more. We motivate each other and learn together every day. I love making people feel happy and appreciated, not just addressing issues but also recognizing their achievements. My standards at work are high because we deal with many people. We need to learn from them and listen effectively. Our job is to ensure customers are taken care of. This job is very demanding, but you MUST show every customer empathy.
