Envoy Earns International Recognition at Digital Women Awards

Jessica Stettler, the Sr. Social Media Specialist for Envoy’s Communications Team, recounts her experience at the 2024 Digital Women Awards and Conference.

The Digital Women Awards & Conference is an annual event hosted by the Digital Women organization—an online community dedicated to empowering women across the globe through digital skill-sharing. Each year, the event recognizes women who excel in digital industries and entrepreneurship. The awards span various categories with entrants undergoing a rigorous evaluation by a distinguished panel of judges.

This year’s event (#DWA24), sponsored by Constant Contact, took place at the iconic De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London, UK. With over 150 attendees, all professional women in creative digital roles from across the world, the conference was a celebration of female achievement in the digital space. Out of more than 100 candidates, I was nominated for Social Media Manager of the Year, and was fortunate enough to attend the ceremony in London.

A Seat at the Table

In keeping with the conference’s theme of honoring trailblazing women in tech and digital industries, each table was named after a pioneering figure. I had the honor of sitting at the Margaret Hamilton table—aptly named after the legendary computer scientist who led the team that developed the software for NASA’s Apollo moon missions.

The event featured a diverse lineup of influential speakers, including Constant Contact UK GM Erika Robinson, ITV Studio VP of Social Media Claire Hoang, Public Speaking Coach Danni Wallace, and Founder and Author Xandrina Allday. They each shared their unique career stories and offered insights into personal branding, leadership, and resilience in the digital age.

And the Award Goes to…

After hearing from the guest speakers, the much-anticipated awards ceremony began. Each categories featured several finalists, with runners-up and winners announced. To my surprise, I was named the first runner-up in the highly competitive Social Media Manager of the Year category. This recognition is an honor, reflecting not only my personal efforts but the collective contributions of the incredible teams that I work with at Envoy. The collaborative efforts of my Envoy Communications colleagues and our agency partner, Social Revolt, has resulted in standout work on our social media channels and digital media that I’m immensely proud of.

In addition to the role-based award, I was thrilled to be recognized as one of the “60 Digital Women to Watch”—an honor that included a profile feature in the Digital Women print magazine, along with a medal and certificate.

A Memorable Experience

Attending the Digital Women Awards & Conference was an unforgettable experience. I’m eager to bring back the valuable insights I gained and share them with the Women of Envoy (WE) during our upcoming meetup in October.
