Gallery: Miami’s Annual Safety Fair Soars Again

The summer travel season is quickly approaching and the Envoy team at Miami International Airport (MIA) is gearing up for an exciting year of assisting passengers on their way to their favorite sunny destinations.

In preparation for the upcoming summer peak travel season, Envoy employees at the hub were invited to take part in their annual Safety Fair that was full of food, fun and games all centered on safety.

“We always want to stress the importance of safety in the aviation industry,” said Envoy Vice President of MIA Hub Migdoel Rosa. “Whether you’re a Ramp Agent who spends most of your day outside around aircraft or a Crewmember who works on an active flight, safety should always be the most important factor in how you go about your work.”

Each booth had their own unique games and challenges for attendees to test and grow their safety knowledge. From dealing with a simulated fire in the flight deck to answering safety-themed questions in a game of jumbo tic-tac-toe, participants were able to reinforce their safety skills while having fun at the same time.

When they weren’t taking part with the safety challenges, attendees were touring a new airport fire truck, grabbing a catered lunch and even getting a back massage from a local business that came out to support the event.

“It seems like we have a better and bigger turnout with each Safety Fair we host,” said Envoy MIA Support Services Supervisor Nayam Ruiz. “Seeing the level of engagement from everyone who made it out this year just makes us all the more excited to start planning the next one.”

Congrats on another successful event, MIA!
