What’s better than winning the American Airlines Customer Cup three times? The Envoy team at Jack Brooks Regional Airport (BPT) in Beaumont, TX will be the first ones to tell you the answer to that – four wins!
Team BPT barely had time to take the decorations down from their recent celebration of winning the Cup in 2Q24 before it was time to put them right back up and celebrate again for the fourth quarter of 2024 (4Q24).
“I’m so very proud of this team for pulling off yet another win of the Customer Cup,” said Envoy BPT General Manager Damarilis Lopez. “With BPT being such a small operation, it’s even more of a challenge for us to stay on top of our goals since one slip up could cost us this award. Learning that we’ve won this hard-earned award yet again is truly a testament to how well our team works together to keep the operation running safely and smoothly.”
What does it take to win?
Every station in the American Airlines Group (AAG) family competes against other stations of a similar size across many categories to determine who will win the award for a given quarter. Those categories include important performance metrics such as on-time departures and turns (D0 and T0), baggage performance (MBR), Safety and overall customer satisfaction.
“At the core of every metric that goes into winning the Customer Cup, we also ensure that our stations are prioritizing their best safety practices in everything that they do,” said Envoy Regional Managing Director Rachel Alaniz-Carmichael. “When we always consider safety first, all the other elements that make up the success of a team fall into place a lot easier.”
At this rate, BPT may need to build a bigger airport to house all the Customer Cups the Envoy team has brought home. Here’s to the next one, Team BPT!
