Last month, the Envoy and American teams at Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in The Bahamas welcomed a new permanent resident to the capital city – the American Airlines Customer Cup.
The Customer Cup is awarded quarterly to stations across American’s operation. Stations across American’s global network are grouped based on operational likeness and the top-performing stations every quarter receive the coveted Customer Cup prize. This win for the fourth quarter of 2024 (4Q24) is team Nassau’s second win, having earned their first in 1Q24.
“This is an exciting celebration for our team, I can’t think of a more deserving bunch of people for this award,” said Envoy NAS General Manager Aretha Allen. “A lot of metrics are considered when determining the winners of the Customer Cup, so I’m so incredibly proud of our team here for securing another win.”
After hearing from Envoy and American senior leadership, team NAS team celebrated their win together over a meal of traditional Bahamian food like conch fritters and conch salad, before, of course, enjoying some celebratory Customer Cup cake.
As the capital of The Bahamas and a major international gateway to the Caribbean, NAS sees many different types of customers at their location.
“So many of our international operations see customers that are primarily traveling to or from a big vacation,” said Envoy Vice President of International Operation Jorge Ramirez, who attended the Cup celebration to recognize the team. “When we have a team of people like the group here at NAS who are not only efficient with their daily tasks, but are constantly providing welcoming, friendly faces to our customers on their journeys, we make a lasting positive impact for those customers.”
With such a well-deserved win under their belts, we’re excited to see what Team NAS does next!
