The Envoy team in Evansville (EVV) recently received formal recognition from our colleagues at the TSA for their commitment to security. During the presentation, the TSA highlighted two incidents where the Envoy team acted with customer and crewmember security in mind.
During a routine security search, new-hire Station Agent Stephanie Ribaudo discovered a multi-tool device with a sharp blade extended, left behind by a contract maintenance worker. Just two weeks prior, Stephanie had completed her Aircraft Search training. Well spotted, Stephanie and way to go!
In a second incident, Station Agents Kevin Doyle, Jeremiah Stinson and Carter Cates noticed an unauthorized person on the ramp shortly after the airport’s last commercial flight of the night. After approaching the individual and informing airport security, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody by the Evansville Police Department.
“Not only does this show a strong partnership with our colleagues at the TSA and in our local police force, it shows a dedicated and consistent commitment to safety for our crewmembers and our customers,” said EVV General Manager, Greg Miller. “I’m proud of the team for everything that they do.”
Stephanie, Jevin, Jeremiah and Carter all received certificates of achievement from the TSA for their commitment to security. Way to go!
