Gallery: Miami Summer Safety Fair

On Wednesday, the Miami Envoy team hosted a Safety Fair where employees from all work groups, participants from Envoy headquarters, Miami airport authorities, the CWA and TWU labor unions, and members of Envoy leadership joined together to learn more about what it takes to run a safe and successful operation. Exhibitor booths ranged from Envoy Uniforms to Ground Support Equipment vendors and beyond, with many hosting safety-related games where employees put their knowledge to the test to win prizes.

There were two huge hits at the safety fair: the CPR raffle game (30 compressions for a raffle ticket) and the food (gigantic sub sandwiches). Yet, nothing could compare to the crowds ooh’ing and aww’ing around the TSA K9-unit of adorable beagles.

“I was very impressed by what the Miami team put together,” said John Jaynes, Envoy Senior Vice President of Customer Services. “Everyone was excited to be together and have a little fun learning about the most important aspect of our industry.”

Also in attendance from Envoy Headquarters were members from the Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee (CDIAC) who participated for the first time at a Safety Fair. At their booth they had fun swag with their logo and information about how to join and partner with CDIAC.

“When you think about airline safety, typically workplace conditions are in the mix, which includes whether an employee feels welcomed by their colleagues and supervisors,” said Chanen Lively, Envoy Vice President of Human Resources & Legal Counsel. “That’s why I was proud to see CDIAC and other employee resource groups sharing their knowledge and engaging with frontline employees — it makes a difference.”

Thank you to the Miami Envoy team for hosting this fun and informational event, and kudos to all the Envoy employees who make us one of the safest regional airlines in the industry!
