When thinking of reasons to visit the Bahamas, the first thoughts that may come to mind are the clear, turquoise waters and the tropical climate, but another thing to add to that list is the welcoming spirit of the Envoy team at the Exuma International Airport (GGT).
Last month, the GGT Envoy team came together along with their American Airlines (AA) counterparts, to celebrate their win of the American Airlines Customer Cup for the first quarter of 2023 over a meal of traditional Bahamian food like peas and rice, conch fritters and baked mac & cheese. In between bites, several people took turns standing up to explain what the acronym WELCOME means to them as a team.
“We are Winners. We Embrace our daily challenges. Loyalty is limitless. We Consistently deliver on our goals. Obstacles are imminent, but we confidently embrace and overcome them. We start our day with Motivated words. Excellence is the key to our success,” the GGT team said together.

Leading the group of winners is Envoy GGT General Manager Monique Brown who has been a part of previous cup wins in Georgetown.
“I am so proud of this team for doing such an outstanding job in the first quarter of 2023 and bringing home the Customer Cup yet again,” said Monique. “This award was proudly earned. Excellence is what we do.”
After everyone finished their meals, it was time to cut the cake and start dancing. Some team members carried on the spirit of welcome even then, as they took the hands of some children eating at a nearby table and brought them out to the dancefloor.
“The team really showcased their culture at this event,” said Envoy Vice President, Airport Services Jude Mayeux. “This is a memory I will have for the rest of my life.”
