Exceptional Training

Meeting & exceeding qualifications

Ensuring that new employees are trained and qualified is an important part of running a safe operation for our colleagues and customers. Envoy prides itself on offering exceptional, thorough training to all workgroups and has made significant investments to improve the quality of our training equipment and materials.

Investing in new flight technology

Envoy recently invested in new SIMs from CAE’s 7000XR Series with high-fidelity Flight simulation, extreme visual realism, a next generation Instructor station and improved reliability — compared to previous generations. The new SIMs are housed and managed by Avenger Flight Group at a state-of-the-art facility near DFW Airport, which is open to pilots twenty-four seven.

In addition to the new simulators, we have also recently installed a new static cabin trainer at our Headquarters facility to aid Flight Service Training. Designed to replicate the cabins of the Embraer 175 (E175), this new equipment is complete with everything a future flight attendant needs to learn how to keep our passengers safe and happy when traveling on our aircraft.

Once indoc training begins, you can expect two weeks at our Irving headquarters where you will learn policies and procedures, followed by General Emergency Training. Pilot trainees will then continue to Computer Based Training (CBT), Flight Management System labs (FMS), Cockpit Procedure Training (CPT), Procedures Validation (PV), and Knowledge Validation (KV).

From there, trainees progress to Line Observation, Simulator Training, Check Rides and Line Observation Evaluation (LOE), which culminates with the achievement of the Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) type-rating.

Did you know that Flight Attendant training involves fire safety and CPR training? There’s more to the job than beverage service…A highly trained Flight Attendant is on every Envoy flight for the safety of our passengers, as well as to provide outstanding Customer Service.

Once hired as an Aircraft Mechanic, you can expect 2 weeks of paid training at our Irving headquarters facility to learn Envoy’s company policies, followed by 4 weeks of fleet-specific training at your assigned base.

Continued professional development

All Envoy employees have access to an immersive online learning platform that makes skilling personalized and accessible, offering a blend of self-paced online courses, hands-on practice, virtual live online classes, compliance courses, and coaching to close skill gaps and promote professional growth. And it’s available anytime, anywhere, on any device.
