Step Right Up to the ORD Safety Fair

Recently, the Envoy team at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) hosted a carnival-themed safety fair for employees from every department to have fun while learning.

As each attendee arrived, they went from station to station playing games like spin-the-wheel, bottle ring toss and Connect 4 for a chance to answer different safety-related questions right and take home some fun Envoy swag.

“We all know how important Safety is in each of our roles here, but sometimes we can get complacent from time to time,” said Envoy Program Manager of Safety, Training and Compliance Harold Cardenas. “This safety fair provided a fun opportunity for everyone, from our ramp agents to our aircraft mechanics, to refresh their knowledge on how they can be their safest, best selves when on the job.”

When attendees weren’t playing Safety Jeopardy or practicing their belt loader skills, they grabbed some bites of classic carnival food, like popcorn and nachos.

“Safety should be the top priority for every single one of our roles, each day we come to work,” said Envoy Supervisor of Hub Attendance Sami Acevedo. “When we take these unique opportunities to remind the team about Safety in an engaging and rewarding way, it helps keep everyone’s Safety skills sharp.”

Congrats on a successful safety fair, ORD!
